Full Moon

I spent the last hour on the porch swing under a full moon.  It was a little cool, but I put on my green afghan Loni made me and it was perfect.

I didn't have any lights on in the house and the only lights outside were the colored solar lights and the bright moonlight.  It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Raymond would have loved the new patio.  He would have brought his banjo out there and played, or he would have painted there.  It used to make me sad thinking about that, but he enjoyed the old patio, and I know he is happy I have the patio I always wanted.

I Held Back

I had to work tonight and then I had to run an errand to find wooden matches for an work event tomorrow night.  I ended up at Krogers in my match search because it had to be several little boxes and not a big box. When I walked in I noticed they had set up their patio furniture display inside the store.  Part of the display was porch swings, and there was a gorgeous green one right in the middle.

I so wanted to try out that porch swing.  Unfortunately there were two kids sitting in it and swinging. I truly wanted to go over there an give them the glare that tends to send kids running away from me, but I held back and let them keep swinging.

It is a really pretty swing.

Last Night ... A Good Porch Night

There was enough of a breeze last night for me to enjoy my porch swing, if not my porch swing quilt.

I laid on the porch swing reading and swinging for quite a while after work, with visits from my youngest once in a while.  He was concerned that I had put myself into a position (on my stomach with right side into back of swing) that would not allow me to get up since I would have to use my left arm.  He has not been home long enough to know I had solved that problem soon after shoulder surgery.

After a while, Loni came out to sit, and then the oldest came home from work and brought his dinner out.  It was a very nice evening of chatting and laughter.

It was a good porch night.
