My Reads Lately

I have had some enjoyable reads lately, even if I do get side tracked a lot with Triple Town, a new Kindle game that I find quite engaging.  It is that competitive streak that I have with myself always going for higher and higher scores.

Of course some of my latest reads were Kindle free books because I stalk the free books constantly.  I just finished Spinning Forward, and now I see there is another book out called by Terri DuLong called "Casting About."  I don't know that I would pay for the second book, but as a free one "Spinning Forward" was just right.

Pinned for Murder and Love Letters from Ladybug Farm are books I purchased for my Kindle as they are series I have been reading.  Light reading, but fun.

I also read Only You  and Bake Sale Murder off the free list.  Both light reads perfect for bed time or grabbing a chapter or two while waiting in the car for the youngest.

I plan on reading the new Fannie Flagg once I finish Hometown Ties.  (Unless I finish Hometown Ties before Fannie's new one is published, then it will be one of the other 231 unread books on my Kindle.

I Confess

I confess.   I am an Amazon stalker.  I must go to Amazon at least 3 times a day, usually more, and stalk the top 100 free Kindle books.  Today I found two I didn't  have that I was interested in.  Yesterday it was only one.  Some days I can find up to six.  What a high that is!

Are all of them great books? No.  I have found some terrific authors though and have gone back and ordered all the works of several authors because I liked them so much.

Free books by authors unknown to me are also great for situations where I don't want to cozy up and read one of my favs.  Doctors offices, parking lots, dorm rooms, etc. are great places to try new authors.  There is usually just enough time for me to decide if I want to continue reading the book or delete it from the Kindle.

The great joy recently was being able to find out there were some books that you could pre-order that were free. I pre-ordered a free book by Jeffrey Archer, one of my favs, and it was so exciting when it downloaded.

I have already stalked the books this morning and plan to go back this afternoon and evening.  You just never know what you will find.

Some may find my stalking sad, but I find it exhilarating.

Free Books!!!

There are free books available for the Kindle 2. I just "whispernetted" two to my K2 for the future. Have no idea if they will be any good, but you know what, they were free, they do not take up any shelf space in my house which makes them "green," and we all know I love green.

There are a lot of classics that are free too. Very exciting.

I love free books!!!
