My oldest and his fiancee have the worst engagement story.
He didn't even say the words "Will You Marry Me?" Instead they are calling it a mutually agreeable decision between two mature adults..
What a load of crock! I get it that she doesn't like surprises, and is not into romance, but really?
I am going to start making up stories about it and change it for everyone new I tell. This could be quite fun.

I think it was a 'mutually agreeable decision between two mature adults'; we might be the ones adding 'business' to the deal because it does sound like something of a Mergers and Acquisitions deal rather than a marriage proposal. Though looking back at it, I had pretty much the same horrible engagement story.
OK, I changed it, but I am sure I heard business during one of the discussion. Maybe they used that word after you left to do homework.
hmmm,"mutually agreeable decision" sounds like there isn't any romance! Where is the romance? I agree that a marriage needs to be more than just "romance" but it certainly would help to have some romance when you are slogging through the tough stuff and you still have "stars in your eyes" for your soul mate.
